Frequently Asked Questions
- Are your tutors qualified?
- All our tutors have post graduate qualifications in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) and have at least two years' full time experience in teaching English.
- How do I enrol?
- You can enrol online or you can download a form and email, fax or post it to us.
- How do I pay?
- We send you an invoice for an agreed block of hours and you pay us. You can pay directly into our account, send us a cheque or pay by credit card through Paypal. You do not need to give any money to the tutor.
- How often should I have lessons?
- It is up to you how often you should have lessons. Some students have lessons once or twice a week, other students have intensive lessons. It depends on your particular language needs and when you are available. We recommend lessons should be at least 1.5 hours in length.
- What happens if I have to cancel the lessons?
- If you have to cancel a lesson, you contact the tutor directly. We ask that you give 24 hour’s notice to the tutor. If not, you will be charged for the lesson. If you want to cancel all your lessons, all you need do is let us know and we will give you a refund for the balance of your lessons.
- What happens in the first lesson?
- In the first lesson, the tutor will check different areas of your English and discuss with you your particular needs and level. Together, you will discuss the structure of your lessons and what you want to gain from them. After the first lesson, the tutor will complete a Needs Assessment and Course Outline and you will be given a copy.
- Where are the lessons held?
- Lessons are held at the student's home or workplace, tutor's home or an agreed location such as a local library or café.
