If you are interested in becoming a private English tutor in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide, please email us your CV outlining your qualifications, experience (language schools, dates, English levels, courses), and contact details of two teaching related referees (preferably email addresses). Please also indicate any professional experience besides teaching.
ESL Tutoring Services acts as an agency, matching clients from non-English speaking backgrounds with professional teachers based on location, times of availability and specialisation (IELTS, Business English, Pronunciation, etc.). Most clients request one to six hours of tuition per week either at their home or office, your home, or a third party location.
Teachers are responsible for planning and developing appropriate lesson content and materials, as well as choosing appropriate texts upon the client's request. Teachers are compensated at a rate of $40 per teaching hour for community clients and $45 per hour for employer sponsored tuition (corporate clients).
Due to the independent nature of tutoring, tutors need to supply an ABN (Australian Business Number), which can be obtained online through the Australian Business Registry.
