Claudia has taught English as a Second Language in Australia, Italy, Turkey, and England, for over 12 years. She has mostly taught European and Asian business executives and has helped many students pass their IELTS exam. For 11 years, Claudia also worked as a Business Development Manager in various charities and eventually became the Chief Executive of Love Is All We Need, a charity that supports AIDS orphans in South Africa. After 18 months in this position, Claudia chose to come back to teaching and is able to use her business experience. Claudia’s main aim is to give you the confidence to express yourself freely in English. Claudia will create lessons to suit your individual needs and you can always request to practice specific language areas. Whatever the goal of the lesson is, Claudia will aim to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Ashley is a passionate ESL tutor, who feels incredibly privileged to work with people from all over the world.

Ashley began her tutoring journey volunteering at a community homework program for multicultural youth. She has always had a fondness for teaching, which began with fitness classes, and continued down the educational pathway with a TESOL certification followed by an IELTS preparation certification. She has been with ESL Tutoring Services since 2015, engaging with a wide variety of clients. She continued this passion for helping others with their English skills while living in Guangzhou, China from 2016 to 2019, where she assisted young adults with physical disabilities learn English to enhance their employability. Ashley’s wide scope of knowledge and experience in the tutoring world has helped her engage with many students, both in Australia and around the world.

Barbara is a dynamic and creative professional educator recognised for her ability to tailor lessons to her student’s needs. She loves sharing those ‘ah-ha!’ moments with her students when a particularly tricky bit of language finally clicks.

Barbara has over 15 years of experience teaching and training adults. She began as a business English trainer in 2007, helping to transition Swiss university students into the workforce. Since then she has tutored English to individuals with diverse backgrounds, including youth and young adults, international students, working holiday visa holders and recently relocated professionals. Whilst working at Amnesty International Australia, Barbara convened several English conversation groups for recently resettled refugees. She also facilitated the integration and resettlement of individuals from around the world into their new Australian community.

Her favourite aspect of teaching is seeing her students grow their confidence and capability in a new language.
